Charles Spencer is a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and is one of the most international sought-after piano accompanists.
More than twelve years he accompanied Christa Ludwig and has collaborated with many artists, such as Anne Schwanewilms, Bernarda Fink, Gundula Janowitz, Vesselina Kasarova, Marjana Lipovšek, Jessye Norman, Deborah Polaski, Thomas Quasthoff, Ildikó Raimondi, Peter Schreier, John Shirley-Quirk and Deon van der Walt. Furthermore, he has accompanied Elīna Garanča, Petra Lang, Andreas Schmidt, Peter Seiffert, Petra-Maria Schnitzer, Janina Baechle and Iris Vermillion.
Charles Spencer has appeared on numerous CD-recordings and has performed in some of the most important international venues.
